Motivation when facing fear!

Many Spiritual traditions practice breathing techniques (like Yoga); When facing a fearful situation, train the mind to focus on the breath, hence taking your awareness away from the busy mind and giving it something else to focus on. This calms the whole body and mind after a few rounds of breathing. Example, breath in through the nose at a count of 4, hold the breath for 2, breath out for a count of 4, see yourself counting and also focusing on the breath as you do, slow everything down to the present moment, not the event that is making you fearful.
